Design Objective

To create a memorable and engaging event experience for guests at BuzzFeed's 2016 NewFronts, showcasing BuzzFeed's creative process for creating content and demonstrating their ability to meet the needs of their audience. The event space was designed with a purposeful flow and highlighted with large projection screens and individually mapped orbs, creating a visually stunning atmosphere that captivated attendees.

Design Concept

The event aimed to highlight BuzzFeed's ability to feed the hearts, minds, and businesses of their audience — showcasing their creative process through a unique and immersive event experience. The main presentation took place on a custom-built stage that incorporated projection mapping, multimedia content production, pre-visualization, interactive programming, and custom fabrication to bring the event to life. Individually mapped projection orbs suspended throughout the space created a striking visual environment that reinforced BuzzFeed's identity as a creative media powerhouse. Every lighting cue and projection sequence was custom-programmed to support the presentation flow.
