What are Multimedia Displays?
Multimedia displays are the screens, surfaces, and interactive devices that carry your content to an audience — LED video walls, kiosk systems, holographic and portal displays, ultra wide-format installations, and sensor-driven screens — designed and integrated by our Portland, Oregon team for events and venues nationwide. The hardware is only half the story; the integration, content pipeline, and reliability engineering are what make a display an experience instead of a TV. You need multimedia display design whenever content has to live in the physical world: a festival booth that draws a crowd, a headquarters lobby that tells the company story, a retail environment where the display invites touch — or deliberately doesn't need it. Each context demands different brightness, pitch, interaction, and uptime. Beatrox approaches displays as systems, not rentals. Beatrox designs, sources, integrates, and operates multimedia display systems of every scale — from single interactive kiosks to seamless LED environments. We handle panel selection, structural integration, media server programming, sensor and computer-vision interaction, and on-site calibration, with content formatted to exact pixel maps. For FLIR, we delivered a permanent interactive history wall at FLIR's Washington, DC headquarters — ultra wide-format displays driven by a media server, with LIDAR scanners and AI computer vision assigning each visitor a unique ID so multiple people can explore FLIR's technology milestones simultaneously, entirely touch-free. For Run for the Oceans with Adidas and Parley Ocean School, we built seamless wall-to-wall ROE Black Pearl LED inside a shipping container, mirrored floor and ceiling turning the display into an infinity ocean. For the Infinite Playlist Tour with Amazon Music Live, free-standing LED walls became AR portals at Outside Lands and Stagecoach 2023. For BuzzFeed's NewFronts, we fabricated media walls and a custom neon display environment at Moynihan Station. And for AKU World, we integrated interactive kiosks, holographic portal displays, and a 4D body scanner that let guests mint their own digital avatars.

It depends on the audience and the duty cycle. Passive displays suit high-traffic, glance-based environments; interactive displays reward dwell time. We often blend both — the FLIR history wall reacts to passers-by to invite interaction, then supports deep multi-user exploration.
Can displays be interactive without touchscreens?
Yes — and we recommend it for public installations. LIDAR and camera-based tracking let guests control content with their body, with no shared surfaces. It's how both the FLIR wall and the Run for the Oceans ocean chamber work.
Do you build permanent installations, or only event displays?
Both. Permanent installs like the FLIR headquarters wall are engineered for uptime, serviceability, and low maintenance — different discipline from event gear, and one we're built for.
Who supplies the content for the displays?
We can. Our content team formats and produces media to the exact pixel map of your system — from branded loops to real-time rendered experiences — or we integrate content your team provides.
