In experiential production, detail drawings are the shared language between designers, fabricators, engineers, riggers, and venue staff — dimensioned plans, sections, elevations, and shop drawings that define exactly what gets built, where it goes, and how it fits together. You need professional drafting whenever something has to be fabricated, approved, or coordinated across departments. A scenic wall that looks simple in a render can hide dozens of decisions: material thicknesses, connection details, cable paths, access panels, sightline clearances. Without drawings, those decisions get made on the shop floor or on site — the two most expensive places to make them. Good drafting also protects the creative. When every vendor works from the same accurate documents, the finished build matches the approved design, change orders shrink, and load-in stops being a negotiation.

On the FLIR Interactive History Wall — a permanent installation at FLIR's Washington DC headquarters with ultra wide-format displays, LIDAR sensors, and a media server — precise placement and integration drawings were essential to a clean, low-maintenance result. And for Adidas' MyShelter launch, we drafted an immersive forest environment into a narrow Manhattan bodega, resolving how a hidden short-throw projector, scenic canopy, lighting, and signage could coexist in a footprint with no room for error.
